Police found a third powder letter at the end of the afternoon on Thursday. This was delivered to a building on Van Baerlestraat in Amsterdam. Earlier in the day, powder letters were also delivered elsewhere in the capital and in Roermond.
No one was hurt. A spokesperson for the Amsterdam police was unable to make any statements about the recipient of the letter.
Earlier on Thursday, a powder letter was delivered to a building on Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. The letter in Roermond was delivered to the Laurentius Hospital.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, a total of fifteen powder letters were found at various business premises, hotels and hospitals. It is not clear whether they all have the same sender. The detective is still investigating the origin of the powder letters.
The police advise not to open suspicious letters. It is also recommended to call the police immediately. “If a powder letter is accidentally opened, wash your hands immediately and do not touch the powder,” police said.
