Uber has suspended its services in Córdoba
The transport company Uber has suspended its service in Córdoba.
Through your application drivers are receiving the following message:
“Due to the large drop in demand for urban transport in recent months, we have been forced to suspend our service in Córdoba. You can check the cities in which we continue to operate in the following link ”.
In fact, the application is no longer available to users, to whom it shows the following message:
“We are sorry to inform you that currently Uber is not available in your area.”
This is a different notice from the one that was shown in Córdoba since in March, with the decree of a state of alarm, the Ares Capital cars stopped touring the city.
Since then and until a few days ago, the message that the application showed was that there were no cars available or that it was not available due to lack of drivers.
Ares Capital, owner of most of the VTC authorizations with which Uber operated in Córdoba, applied in March a Temporary Employment Regulation File (ERTE) that prevented Uber from operating in the city.
Seven months have passed since the Uber transportation application with driver stopped being active in Córdoba and it does not seem likely that it will be activated again.
Ares Capital, for its part, has summoned its employees in Córdoba this Tuesday, October 20.
The VTC company, owned by the North American investment fund King Street Capital, which also has Moove Cars, did operate again in the summer in cities such as Seville or Malaga, but in Córdoba it did not offer a constant service.
