KOMPAS.com – After a long wait, Twitter finally released a feature Fleets globaly. Fleets is a feature that allows users to upload short videos similar to Instagram Stories.
From KompasTekno’s observation, Twitter users in Indonesia, both those using the Android and iOS platforms, have also been able to try it.
Several users showed off Twitter’s new feature by uploading screenshots of their Fleet to their timeline.

Way to use
To get the Fleet feature, users must update the Twitter application on the PlayStore or App Store to version 8.71.0.

However, if some users haven’t got it, chances are that this feature hasn’t been rolled out evenly.
After beingupdate, Fleet will appear at the top of the screen. It looks similar to Instagram Stories, where on the far left is the “add” icon (+) to create a new Fleet upload.
While the right side is uploads from accounts that are followed and mutual accounts (following each other). Like Instagram Stories too, users can simply “tap” to see other users’ Fleets.
The content that can be uploaded on the Twitter Fleets is arguably quite complete, even though it’s not too rich.
Users can upload photos or videos taken directly or stored in the cellphone gallery. However, Fleet has not been enriched with stickers, GIFs, or filters to support aesthetic photos or videos.

There is only an option to change the photo background only. Photos can be decorated with text as well mention to another account. Users can also upload text, complete with paragraph layout settings, font color, bold, and background text.
However, only one type of font is available and there are no other font choices. When you’re done creating content, upload Fleet by tapping “done”.
After double tapping, the user will be directed to a direct message (Direct Message) to create a conversation there. Good luck!
