45 Covid-19 patients were hospitalized last day, which is two more than in the previous day. In turn, 49 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals during the day, which is also two more than in the previous day.
Of the 370 Covid-19 patients currently inpatient, 354 have a moderate course of disease and 16 have a severe course of the disease.
To date, a total of 868 Covid-19 patients have been discharged from hospital.
It has already been reported that 442 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in Latvia last day, but five patients died, according to data compiled by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC).
One deceased patient was between the ages of 30 and 35, one between the ages of 50 and 55, one between the ages of 70 and 75, and two between the ages of 80 and 90, according to information provided by the SPKC.
As a result, a total of 137 people who have been confirmed infected with Covid-19 have died in Latvia.
7857 cases of Covid-19 were investigated last day, but the proportion of positive tests was 5.6%. The SPCC has previously explained that this figure is considered important in the European Union, as above 4%, the spread of the disease is considered to be rapid and uncontrolled.
To date, a total of 11,356 people have been confirmed with Covid-19 infection in Latvia, but 1,557 people have recovered from Covid-19. Thus, in the last days since November 12, 42 people have recovered from Covid-19.
