Donald Trump writes that Krebs has made a “very inaccurate” statement about the security surrounding the US presidential election.
– The statement from Chris Krebs about the security of the election in 2020 was very inaccurate, it is stated in the message on Twitter.
Krebs has headed the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which was responsible for security of choice in the US election. He has stated that there has been no electoral fraud during this year’s US presidential election, and that Americans can be sure that the security of the voices is taken care of.
“America, we have confidence in the security of your voice, so should you,” Krebs wrote on Twitter on 13 November.
Last week, the news agency Reuters reported that Krebs ladle expected to be fired.
Repeats statements
About 20 minutes after firing the data security chief, Trump takes credit for the election not being influenced by foreign actors and at the same time repeats undocumented allegations.
– The only sure thing with the 2020 election was that it was practically impenetrable to foreign powers. The Trump administration takes great recognition for that. Unfortunately, left-wing radical Democrats, Dominion and others may have had more success, Trump thunders Twitter.
Trump has accused technology provider Dominion Voting of deleting millions of votes, a claim that also abounds online. The company refutes the allegations and calls them “completely false”. Dominion also points out that Edison Research has denied the allegations.
No proof
The president and his lawyers have filed lawsuits in both Pennsylvania and other states. The accusations of obstruction of election observers are a very central element in their case.
There is so far no evidence for the president’s accusations. The head of the US computer security agency CISA is among those who flatly reject the possibility of election fraud.
– The election on November 3 was the safest in American history. … There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was compromised in any way, the agency says in a official statement.
