Found three powder letters, now also at Rotterdam hospital | Inland

According to local media, the letter would have been opened by employees in the Rotterdam hospital and two people would have come into contact with the powder. The police spokeswoman cannot confirm this. The police and an explosives expert are investigating. “It is a letter with an unknown substance,” said a police spokeswoman. On Tuesday morning, a powder letter was also found in a multi-company building in Amsterdam where the editors of Het Parool and de Volkskrant are located. According to the police, there appeared to be no harmful substance in it.

The newspapers in the INIT building belong to DPG Media. A DPG Media printer in Best Brabant also received a powder letter on Tuesday morning.

According to the police, a mailroom employee was temporarily isolated after the find, until it became clear that there was no danger. The letter was found around 9:30 am. The police are not yet making any statements about the possible background to the powder letters.

Relationship unknown

It is not known who sent the powder letters and whether there is a connection between the cases.
