It has already been reported that with the onset of the second emergency in the country, Maxima Latvija continues to monitor the health status of all employees and has implemented a number of security measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, such as:
? glass protective barriers at the cash registers between the customer and the cashier;
? provided face masks for all store employees;
? obvious reminders to customers about social distance within a 2 m radius of each other, such as floor stickers, use of shopping carts instead of baskets, provision of a physically higher barrier between other customers, increased customer monitoring and reminders from security staff, etc .;
? an extensive information campaign in stores, placing materials on TV screens, store radios and posters in various places with recommendations on how to reduce the spread of the virus;
? packaging of non-prepacked food, such as confectionery;
? disinfectants at store entrances;
? all employees of the company have access to hand disinfectants, so that, for example, cashiers can take care of clean hands while at the cash desk;
? visitors to the store are informed that it is mandatory to use mouth and nose masks – face mask or visor – while in the store;
? developed Labor protection instructions on how to avoid getting sick with Covid-19, and instructed employees;
? installed infographics in the employees’ premises with information on how to avoid getting Covid-19;
