Lombardy orange zone, decisive hours: the game at the State-Regions conference

Lombardia in lockdown

Milan, November 17, 2020 – Waiting for the Dpcm Christmas which, if the situation permits, should lead to a general from early December relaxation of restrictive measures on the national territory, already in the next few hours some news could arrive in this sense regarding the Lombardy.

In fact, today the State-Regions Conference and, according to some rumors filtering from Palazzo Chigi, Lombardy could pass from red zone to orange zone. Or at least part of it. The situation in the most populous region of Italy it is in fact anything but uniform, with areas such as Milano, Monza and Varese put to the test by second wave of Covid and others that have less worrying numbers. Bergamo and Brescia in particular, under the pressure of local politics and productive categories, they could see a relaxation of the measures contained in thelast Dpcm. One possibility foreseen by the decree, that of acting on individual provinces, even more so in a region of vast dimensions.

As for a possible passage of all of Lombardy from red zone to orange zone, despite the improvements of the last few days this will hardly happen before November 27, that is after two weeks of “lower risk” from the date of entry into force of the Dpcm. On this the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, does not seem willing to grant exceptions. A line marked by caution which finds doctors and experts in agreement, and thus renews the ‘clash “between the economic world that pushes for reopening and scientific world which invites us not to underestimate the situation.
