Thomas Partey had time to ask for advice Emmanuel Adebayor when received offers from several English clubs. Adebayor also advised Partey to choose Arsenal.
Partey was one of Mikel Arteta’s main targets in the transfer market last summer. The Gunners finally got the Ghanaian midfielder from Atletico Madrid in the final seconds before the close of the market.
Partey was recruited by Arsenal after the North London club made up for his buyout clause worth 50 million euros. His arrival at the Emirates Stadium received a warm welcome from supporters on social media.
Adebayor revealed that Partey had asked him for advice before moving to England. To Adebayor, the 27-year-old midfielder admitted that Manchester United and Chelsea also wanted him.
Adebayor also advised Partey to choose Arsenal. According to him, Arsenal is suitable for Partey to develop themselves.
