It bundles previously separate and consecutive offers of school and vocational training from the employment agency, integration specialist service, special education and advice centers (formerly called special schools) and workshops for disabled people.
Their services are now performed in parallel – i.e. side by side.
The process of this dual training:
- The practical test takes place three days a week in companies in the general labor market.
- The job-related lessons take place at a regular vocational school on the basis of an extra for KoBV developed modular curriculum. The individual vocational training needs of the schoolchildren, as shown in operational practice, are also consistently addressed and supported.
- KoBV usually closes immediately after the BVE an.
KoBV offers:
- continuous support from the integration specialist services
- Job coaching in the company
- special education oriented vocational school
People with disabilities are looked after by a support team.
The participants KoBV are trainee “rehabilitation candidates” for the duration of the measure and are subject to compulsory vocational school.
