Recent Study Says Eating Chillies Makes Long Life

Liputan6.com, Jakarta A recent study reveals the benefits again chili for health. In the page Foxnews, The American Heart Association (AHA) released a statement that people who consume chili can routinely have a longer life span due to its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anticancer and blood glucose regulating properties.

This research is planned to be announced at a virtual conference entitled “Scientific Sessions 2020“this week.

Although this research is still preliminary, according to the AHA, this chili plays a significant role in reducing a person’s risk of dying from cardiovascular disease or cancer.

This study analyzed 4,728 studies related to chili peppers and a number of diseases.

More than 570,000 health records were included in the study, including people from the US, Italy, China and Iran.

Candidates who ate chilies regularly experienced “a relative 26 percent reduction in cardiovascular mortality; 23% relative reduction in cancer deaths; and a 25 percent relative reduction in all causes of death. “

“We were surprised to find a previously published study that regular chili consumption was associated with a reduced overall risk of all causes of disease including CVD (cardiovascular disease) and cancer death,” said Dr. Bo Xu, senior author of the study. “This highlights that dietary factors may play an important role in overall health.”
