LIVE | Safety region Drenthe: let our public test at events | Inland

The Drenthe Safety Region has reported to State Secretary Mona Keijzer (Economic Affairs) for testing events, football matches, concerts and cinema visits with more visitors. The experiments are expected to be allowed from mid-January to see how activities and events can take place safely. According to the security region, this will be done under strict conditions.

Chairman and mayor of Assen, Marco Out, makes this offer on behalf of the twelve mayors and the King’s Commissioner. “Our province has relatively few infections. We do everything we can to be able to scale down to risk level 1 (vigilant) as quickly as possible. We are relatively small and as a province and municipalities we work closely with our companies. Our branches are eager to help find out how you can get more people to do fun things again without the risk of contamination. ”

According to the safety region, Drenthe has a clear number of locations and activities that lend themselves well to the first tests, such as theaters, cinemas and football matches of premier divisionist FC Emmen.

“Our province is also very suitable for testing larger events. We have already gained experience with it this year coronaproof organizing events. The NK Cycling in Midden-Drenthe, the DTM Races and Gamma Racing Day at the TT circuit in Assen are successful examples of this ”, says Out.
