Where one driver swore at the state of the much too slippery circuit in Istanbul, other drivers said they were enjoying the glide. Romain Grosjean took a much more pragmatic approach to the problem and suggested the solution to the complete lack of grip.
“I suggested to the team to drive around the track with rental cars in between sessions to get the track clean”, the Frenchman joked in conversation with F1.
“Or maybe a good rain shower does the same,” continues Grosjean. “On the other hand, that may only make things worse,” continued the Haas F1 driver, who said the circumstances couldn’t be crazy enough: “The crazier the conditions, the more opportunities for a small team like Haas F1. “
