Pop artist The Weeknd gets to perform the annual halftime performance of the Super Bowl. The so-called halftime show in the United States alone watched over a hundred million people last year. Then Shakira and Jennifer Lopez were allowed to entertain the audience.
The Weeknd is “grateful, honored and ecstatic” to be part of the long list of artists ever to perform in the finals of the American Football season. “When we were young, we saw the world’s most famous artists perform in the Super Bowl. You can only dream of being on that stage one day,” says the Canadian singer.
