New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (62) had a heated exchange of blows with US President Donald Trump (72) about the responsibilities in the fight against the corona pandemic.

Cuomo held his daily press conference on Friday, calling for more money from Washington, among other things, when Trump tweeted: “Governor Cuomo should spend more time ‘doing’ and less time ‘complaining. Get out there and do the work. Stop talking!”

Since the corona virus reached the USA and New York became a hot spot, Cuomo has been able to distinguish itself nationally. Not least because the governor relies more on scientific facts than on opinion. In contrast to the president.

“Should I send him flowers”
When asked about Trump’s tweet, Cuomo railed at the press conference: “If he’s sitting at home and watching TV, maybe he should get up and go to work.”

Trump had presented a plan on Thursday with which the US should gradually return to normal in three phases and the economy should be gradually reopened.

Trumps also criticized via Twitter that New York had received additional, previously unused beds in emergency clinics from federal funds. Cuomo countered: “If you want to point your finger at someone because we have more beds than we need, our only mistake was to believe your numbers.” This won’t happen again. (SDA)
