PT Pertamina (Persero) is currently making a complete replacement gas cylinders LPG 12 kg blue to the tube bright gas. This is done to improve service to consumers.
So, how can people convert a 12 kg blue LPG cylinder into a 12 kg bright gas cylinder?
Acting VP of Corporate Communication for Pertamina Heppy Wulansari said that people can exchange blue LPG gas cylinders for bright gas at all gas agents. The process is like buying gas in general.
People only need to buy gas cylinders as usual at the gas agent and hand over the blue gas cylinders at home to the agent. Later, the agent will provide a bright gas cylinder if there is stock.
“Just a natural process, there is no time limit. Consumers of the 12 kg blue tube when refilling only need to change to 12 kg of bright gas. When people refill, the tube given is bright gas if the stock at the agent is available,” said Heppy to CNNIndonesia.com, Thursday (12/11).
Heppy said gas cylinder exchange was not subject to additional fees. This means that people only buy gas as usual.
“The replacement of the tube was carried out by Pertamina without any additional costs and the price for refilling was the same as the 12 kg LPG blue tube,” explained Heppy.
He emphasized that the price of the 12 kg bright gas cylinder is the same as the 12 kg blue LPG gas cylinder. However, the price of LPG for each region will vary.
“It depends on the distribution distance from supply point. In the past, the price difference was IDR 2,000, bright gas was IDR 141 thousand and blue cylinders were IDR 139 thousand. Now everything is Rp. 139 thousand, “explained Heppy.
The exchange of blue 12 kg LPG gas cylinders to 12 kg bright gas cylinders is carried out so that future distribution of Pertamina is more focused on the same packaged product.
This is because so far the blue and bright gas cylinders have the same specifications, dimensions, and contents. “But this is done gradually, it does not mean that the automatic blue tube is no longer valid,” concluded Heppy.
