The comedy Miners at Home Office was created in Ostrava

The comedy uses black humor and harder expressions, so it is not suitable for children, the authors point out. He plays with the idea of what working from home would look like in the case of miners.

The director comes from a mining family and is a graduate of the University of Mining. So he was very close to the topic. “The miners are real heroes for me and I have great respect for their work. Which, I think, also affected the result, even though it’s a crazy comedy, “he claims.

The filming took place under strict hygienic conditions in Ostrava, among others in the Landek Mining Museum. Karel Zima, Josef Kaluža and Robin Ferro took on the main roles of miners who find themselves without work from day to day.

Originally, this role was to be played by Štěpán Kozub, whom viewers love thanks to the group Three Tigers and the series SKORO NA mizině. “But it happened that on the day of filming, Štěpán woke up with a fever, so we had to reassign the role immediately. We didn’t want to risk the health of anyone on the staff. So the choice fell on our Robinka, who is perhaps diametrically different from Štěpán in everything, but thanks to his peculiarity, this role took on a new dimension. In addition, he admires me and the entire staff that he immediately went for it and learned the text as he marched, ”added Skórka.

The premiere will take place on Friday 13 November on the website www.hornici.com.
