The former world number one hit the ball across the pond on the course in Augusta for one shot directly into the hole. That wouldn’t be so weird. The Spanish player cut a great piece on the 16th hole of the world-famous course in Augusta. Rahm played a shot across the pond, as is the custom in the warm-up round in front of Major.
After his shot, the ball bounced off the surface several times and reached the other bank, as Rahm expected. But then the wound took on a really perfect curve, which led directly to the hole.
Rahm received immediate applause from his colleagues and their cane carriers. It is a great pity that one of the best holes in the history of golf could not be enjoyed by spectators right on the course. This year’s Masters is being played behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.
