After a hectic Monday, Jacob Mulenga appeared in front of the FOX Sports camera with a broad smile. The 36-year-old Zambian had just become a father, started on the bench during Telstar-Go Ahead Eagles, came in and led Kowet to a victory with two goals.
Mulenga had had a long night, he said after the game against Telstar. “My daughter was born a few minutes before 4:00 am. So I didn’t actually sleep,” said the experienced striker. “It has been a long night. But it has all been worth it. My wife and my daughter Gabriella are also doing great.”
The fact that Mulenga managed to score two more times was actually a small miracle: the routine was not quite there with his head. “I was actually still half asleep, haha. But thank God everything went well. My cousin Thomas is also having his birthday … Everything is going well.”
???????? Jacob Mulenga became a father last night and hardly slept, but was the match winner today with two goals.
