Rodolfo Martin Aruabarina was born in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, on July 20, 1975, and played as a left-back with Boca Juniors, who started his career from emerging teams, and during his career as a player, he started with the first team of Boca Juniors in 1993 until 2000, during which he spent a loan period at Rosario Central.
In 2000, he moved to Villarreal, Spain, and continued with the team until 2007, and concluded his career with short experiences in AEK Athens, Greece, Tigre, and Universidad Católica, Chile, until his retirement in 2010 – and he defended the colors of the Argentina national team in 6 international matches, most recently in 2006.

The Argentine coach prefers the 4-2-3-1 style of play and has the highest score in his coaching career with Shabab Al Ahly Dubai, and has scored an average of 2.06 points per match in 33 games in which he has led the team.
