‘Cyclist’ achieves 87 per hour on the left lane, but still does not … (Anzegem)

You have to see it to believe it. A video on social media shows how a man on the Rijksweg in Roeselare drives at 87 per hour with what appears to be an electrically powered bicycle. While pedaling, he overtakes a truck via the left lane. When the images reached the police, a hefty fine soon seemed to be in the works. Until the driver Bruno Naessens (56) from Anzegem himself went to the police station to clarify the mystery.

The video of the super-fast cyclist was massively shared on social media today. A car driver who was driving behind Naessens, was surprised to find out what happened and filmed the event with his smartphone …
