Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The rupiah exchange rate against the United States (US) dollar strengthened in the middle rate of Bank Indonesia (BI). The rupiah also triumphed in trading spot market.
On Monday (9/11/2020), the BI middle rate or the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate / Jisdor reference rate was at IDR 14,172. Rupiah strengthened sharply by 1.04% compared to last weekend’s position.
The rupiah is also green in the spot market ‘arena’. At 10:00 WIB, US $ 1 was priced at Rp. 14,120 where the rupiah strengthened 0.49%.
Like the rupiah, the majority of major Asian currencies also strengthened against the US dollar. The rupiah is still Asia’s best currency, but now the throne has to be divided by the South Korean won.
