Jūrmala Theater, developing the e-culture offer, has started publishing audiovisual readings on the social network “Facebook”, informed Jūrmala City Council. In the cycle “Wonderland”, Jurmala Theater actors offer their spectators to listen to fairy tales of world nations.
Jurmala theater social network Facebook page twice a month, on Sundays, until the spring of 2021, audiovisual readings of fairy tales of the nations of the world performed by actors of the Jurmala Theater will be published.
“Wonderland” is a world in which kindness, honesty, wit, ingenuity and evil, greed and stupidity are still welcomed. It is a world of longing, hope and common sense, which you can only believe in, ”inviting Imants Jaunzems, the artistic director of Jūrmala Theater, to enjoy audiovisual readings on the Internet.
In the first reading of the cycle “Wonderland”, the actress of Jūrmala Theater Līva Vēlņa-Pētersone told the audience of the African folk tale “Fraudster and Carrier of Burdens”, reading still available Jurmala theater “Facebook” page.
On November 15, Mari’s folk tale “Why chickens look at the sky while drinking” will be published by Maris Zabarovskis.
Jūrmala Theater first offered fairy tale readings on the website in May of this year, when families with children could watch and listen to Māra Cielēna’s fairy tales staged at the Jūrmala Theater puppet studio.
