Since his election as mayor of Source near Lyon, Jérémie Bréaud (LR) make no secret that he placed the fight against insecurity and particularly the drug traffic, at the forefront of its concerns. Several police operations led to major drug seizures, in particular Place Jean Moulin.
As a result, the mayor has been threatened with death on several occasions. Saturday, November 7, 2020 in the early evening, two businesses were set on fire. For the mayor who visited the scene, the criminal origin of these fires is beyond doubt. He writes “we seized a lot of drugs this week in the neighborhood…”
For the elected official, the link between the seizures which necessarily hamper the networks installed in the area and the tags painted on the walls of the city or these fires is beyond doubt. He reaffirms his desire not to give in to pressure and indicates that he will continue to act strongly to make the people of Brondillah feel safe in the city.
The region is providing € 300,000 to strengthen video surveillance
This security will notably involve a reinforcement of the means of video surveillance made possible by the assistance of 300,000 € that the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region will provide.
Friday November 6, Laurent Wauquiez, President of the region, came to Bron to announce to the mayor the release of these credits which will allow to upgrade the equipment of the city, and to support the elected official who does not hesitate to expose himself personally in its fight against trafficking.
