Berlin (dpa) – 14 soccer Bundesliga clubs and second division club Hamburger SV want to meet according to information from “Bild am Sonntag” on November 11th in Frankfurt to discuss important issues in German professional soccer.
The meeting takes place under the leadership of the top clubs Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen, but without representatives of the German Football League.
The Bundesliga clubs FSV Mainz 05, FC Augsburg, Arminia Bielefeld and VfB Stuttgart are not invited. Mainz, Stuttgart and Bielefeld as well as clubs in the 2nd division are said to be trying to redistribute the television money. Apparently, the meeting should only be marginalized. Among other things, it will be discussed who will be the successor to DFL managing director Christian Seifert, who will be leaving at the end of June 2022. The next steps in the Corona crisis and the current situation at the German Football Association should also be on the agenda.
