Containment: which public services remain open in Chartres?

Since the announcement of the confinement of the French (es) by Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday October 28, 2020, the public services in Chartres have been organized. Here is a list (not exhaustive) where the reception of the public is authorized.

One stop shop

The one-stop shop at Chartres town hall remains open to the public. You must make an appointment at 02.37.23.40.00, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For requests for a national identity card or passport, an appointment is made online.

Relay of physical assistants

The workshops of the Relais assistantes maternelles are suspended. The other maternal assistants relay services (reception, family appointments, childminders, etc.) function normally, by appointment: tel. 02 36 67 30 20 – [email protected]. And an appointment can be obtained in an emergency.

Conservatory of music and dance

The conservatory remains open to students enrolled in flexible hours (CHAM and CHAD at elementary and secondary level) and in cycles III. The conservatory is not accessible to other students. They will however benefit from alternative teaching solutions on a voluntary basis: Visio lessons, recordings to listen to, videos to watch … They will all be recipients of information in this regard. To find out the precise operating procedures, the parents of students can contact the establishment.

Waste reception centers

No schedule change for the city’s waste reception centers, which remain open during confinement. The checkbox on the certificate is “judicial or administrative summons and to go to a public service”.

  • Chaunay dechetterie : Monday to Saturday (except Tuesday) from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday 9 am to 12 noon.
  • Champhol recycling center : Monday to Saturday (except Thursday) from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday 9 am to 12 noon.
  • Dammarie recycling center : Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday 9 am to 12 noon. Closed Mondays and Thursdays.
  • Saint-Aubin-des-Bois recycling center : Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday 9 am to 12 noon. Closed Tuesday and Thursday.

Waste collection is continuing normally.

Post offices

Post offices in Chartres remain open at the same times.

Bus

The Filibus network operates normally with the exception of line 9 which is suspended due to the closure of the Odyssée aquatic complex. The Relais des Portes stops running at 7:30 p.m., Monday to Saturday inclusive.

Libraries

Chartres libraries are closed. However, subscribers will be able to withdraw books that they have previously reserved via the libraries website and thanks to their card. This “ready to go” online reservation offer will be in place from Tuesday 10 November. Those who borrowed books before the lockdown will have until December 8 to return them.

Houses for all

Closed.

Youth information office

The Youth Information Office is on duty only by appointment to be made at 02.37.23.42.32 or at [email protected]. BIJ remains present on social networks.

Senior services, CCAS, social assistance

All services operate normally and in compliance with reinforced sanitary instructions.

Chartres Rénov ‘Habitat

The territorial energy renovation platform (PTRE) of Chartres Métropole is functioning normally. The hours are open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the one-stop shop, by appointment.

Park and gardens

New to this second confinement: it is possible to go for a walk in the parks and gardens, if they are located less than 1 km from the home and within one hour maximum.

Cemeteries

Cemeteries remain open during confinement.

Places of worship

Places of worship can accommodate up to thirty people for funeral ceremonies and a maximum of six for weddings. However, since November 3, religious ceremonies have been prohibited, by virtue of the confinement established throughout the territory.

Swimming pools

The Odyssey will be closed to the public until further notice. The same goes for the Vauroux swimming pool in Mainvilliers.

The tourism office

The Chartres Métropole tourist office has also suspended its reception of the public.

The Family Allowance Fund (CAF)

The headquarters of the CAF Eure-et-Loir, rue Charles-Victor-Garola in Chartres, remains open during this confinement, with health safety instructions. “In order to guarantee everyone’s safety, only a limited number of people can be accommodated in each space,” she says on her website. Employment center

Public reception is maintained in the morning at the Pôle emploi de Chartres agency, rue Pierre-Nicole, and by appointment in the afternoon, during normal opening hours. “Job seekers and businesses can continue to favor online services,” said Pôle Emploi, in a press release.

The downtown food markets are maintained.

Due to the confinement, the Chartres theater also had to close its halls as well as its ticket office.
