Two people flew on Friday around 2.45 pm at an altitude of about 600 meters. Near Aalst, near the Neswaarden recreation area, they heard a loud bang and felt that something had collided with the plane.
The pilots decided to return to Eindhoven Airport for a precautionary landing. There a dent was found on the nose of the aircraft and damage to the propeller, probably caused by a drone.
The police are looking for witnesses and would like to speak to the drone driver. Furthermore, the police points out that dangerous situations can arise if drone pilots do not comply with the rules. There is a limit of 120 meters for drones. In addition, they must remain within sight of the drone pilot.
