Half past eight in the morning, the day after the election. It was that late four years ago when Donald Trump was proclaimed the new president of the United States. Wonderful time, when we didn’t have to spend days looking at Maricopa County, Arizona or Allegheny County, Pennsylvania (did you hear about it until the beginning of this week?) In the hope that a few hundred more votes had been counted, to know who will become the most powerful man in the world for the next four years. That is the world we live in now, and it does not look like we will have any definite answer on the US presidential election anytime soon. Because it’s a close election, of course. But also because Donald Trump will use every loophole to still win. Or as son Donald Junior calls it: “The total war”.
