KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) continued strengthening in trading on Friday (6/11) impacted by the results of the US Election. JCI closed parking in the green zone with a 1.43% increase to 5,33335,529.

The JCI had fallen into the red zone after the opening of trade but returned to its climb due to positive news that Joe Biden was getting closer to winning over the incumbent Donald Trump.

The market favors Biden because of the hope of certainty and to ease Trump’s engulfing global trade tensions.

All sectors green. The sector that drove the highest was the miscellaneous industry sector which jumped 4.55%, the basic industry sector advanced 2.31%, the manufacturing sector strengthened 2.03% and the infrastructure sector rose 1.49%.

The total trading volume on the IDX reaches 12.8 billion shares with a transaction value of IDR 10.5 trillion. Foreign investors recorded a net buy in all markets of Rp 827.78 billion.

A total of 263 stocks rose, and 161 shares fell. Meanwhile, the other 188 stocks were stagnant.

Most foreign investors sold shares of PT MNC Investama Tbk (BHIT) IDR 93.8 billion. Although many were released by foreigners, BHIT shares closed up 1.28% to Rp per share. The total trading volume of BHIT shares reached 117.8 million with a transaction value of Rp. 112.3 billion.

Foreigners also sell shares of PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) Rp 69.5 billion. However, BMRI shares rose 1.26% to Rp 6,050 per share. The total trading volume of BMRI shares reached 85.7 million with a transaction value of Rp 515 billion.

Foreigners also disposed of the shares of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) IDR 35.7 billion. Nevertheless INDF shares closed slightly higher by 0.70% to IDR 7,176 per share. The total trading volume of INDF shares reached 17.1 million with a transaction value of IDR 122.4 billion.
