Sergio Matteucci, historical commentator of Holly and Benji and Mila and Shiro, died

He died in Rome at the age of 89, Sergio Matteucci, the narrator of the matches of ‘Holly and Benji’ and ‘Mila and Shiro’. Matteucci, born in Granada in 1931, has also worked as a voice actor in other cartoons and in several films, as well as being the voiceover in the reports from the Olympic stadium in Rome for ‘Domenica Sprint’.

He was radio commentator of ‘All Football Minute by Minute’ in the 1982-1983 season. Matteucci has also voiced other children’s programs: ‘Sampei’, ‘Lady Oscar’, ‘Candy Candy’ and ‘Ben e Sebastien’. He has also lent his voice to films such as ‘Rocky 2’, ‘Raging Bull’, ‘Cinderella Man’, ‘Scarface’.
