Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Chief Imam of the Islamic Defense Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab admitted that his return to Indonesia was carried out through an extension of a visa that had been dead for years, and not through an exit permit or bayan safar.
He said Saudi Immigration had previously received applications bayan safar or exit permit from him. However, ahead of his return, on Tuesday (3/11), Immigration in Jeddah canceled the request.
“At the last moment, Immigration in the City of Jeddah, we got the fact that it was finally the plan bayan safar the former will be given to me and the family canceled, “Rizieq said in a press conference on Wednesday (4/11) which was just uploaded by Front Tv on Thursday (5/11).
He admitted that he was worried after the cancellation because it could make him unable to leave Saudi Arabia.
After receiving an explanation from the Saudi authorities, Rizieq called it a cancellation bayan safar hers was done for her own good.
“Even though I was forgiven, excused, then allowed to go home, but the record became bad. That’s why the Saudi authorities declared I didn’t deserve bayan safar, “he said.
Even so, Rizieq can still return to Indonesia. Saudi immigration immediately gave another option, namely extending Rizieq’s visa, who had been dead for 2 years and 5 months.
“Now, this is an extraordinary gift from Allah SWT and I would like to thank the Saudi Government for taking an extraordinary policy,” said Rizieq.
Rizieq has announced that he will return home on Tuesday (10/11). He will depart from Saudi Arabia on Monday (9/11) evening with Saudi Saudi Airlines flight number SV 816.
