Georgia –
President of the United States (US), Donald Trump, temporarily superior to his challenger, Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential candidate, in the state of Georgia who is still doing the counting. However, Trump’s lead in the state has reportedly dwindled, where his vote gap with Biden was only 47,000.
As reported CNN, Thursday (5/11/2020), the vote counting process is still ongoing in Fulton County – the location of the city of Atlanta, the capital of the state of Georgia – until now. Trump has the upper hand over Biden in the district, but his lead is reportedly dwindling.
“Trump’s lead has shrunk to 47 thousand votes. Trump got 49.9 percent. Biden got 48.9 percent. Georgia, 16 electoral votes, now drops to 47,111 votes (difference between the two presidential candidates), the smaller and smaller the lead, And we’re waiting now, ready for a whole bunch of new numbers to come in, “said CNN senior reporter Wolf Blitzer.
It added by CNN’s chief national correspondent, John King, that despite what Trump might think, nothing “evil” happened in the counting process in the state, particularly in Fulton County.
“Republicans and Democrats and independents in every region of America, the red state, the blue state are counting votes,” said King.
“In the Democrat-dominated, densely populated districts, Altanta, Fulton County, 10 percent of the votes from the entire state, will be drained from this one district, we will get more votes today,” he added.
It is known that there are still five states – Alaska, Nevada, Georgia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania – that have yet to complete vote counts.
