Kunsthalle Darmstadt continues the program digitally

For November, the director León Krempel invited the Viennese artist Paul Ebhart to use the house’s digital channels.

DARMSTADT – The Darmstadt art gallery is also currently closed due to the corona pandemic – and is still continuing its program digitally. For November, the director León Krempel invited the Viennese artist Paul Ebhart to use the digital channels of the house (accessible via kunsthalle-darmstadt.de). His performance “Eilt” can be seen for the first time on Friday, November 6th, at 8 pm: By incorporating electroacoustic studio technology from the seventies and eighties and using contemporary synthesis methods, the Kunsthalle announces that he will produce “unique acoustic hybrids”. For the performance, Ebhart uses rhythmic figures that are generated from drum machines and sound sequences. These are supplemented by occasional sound events or the background noise in front of Ebhart’s front door. Audible influences range from broken Musique Concrète to Krautrock; they would be “put together into something entirely new”.

The current exhibitions “Living Together” and “Heide Stolz” will be extended until January 24, 2021.
