Stations and connections, a subsidiary of the SNCF network, is organizing a Facebook contest where Internet users can vote to designate the most beautiful station in France this year 2020.
This is the third edition of this competition called “Battle & Gares”. This operation takes place in two phases.
Stations compete by region, then at national level
The first is regional with forty-eight stations competing. Concretely, four stations compete by region. The two stations with the most votes will enter the national phase.
As a bonus, the eight stations which will have the most votes, all regions combined, will also enter this national phase.
Update on the work carried out by 2021 as part of the Pôle Gare project in Chartres
In Center-Val de Loire, Chartres station, with its passenger building, was selected to compete, opposite the stations of Tours (Indre-et-Loire), Blois-Chambord (Loir-et-Cher) and Orléans (Loiret ). The end of the votes, at the regional level, is scheduled for November 23, 2020, at 10 a.m.
For the national phase of the competition, the thirty-two stations selected will once again be submitted to the votes of Internet users, in the form of a face-to-face meeting. The winner is expected to be decided at the end of December 2020.
In 2019, Metz (Moselle) station won the title of the most beautiful station.
