On Tuesday evening, it was announced that as part of stricter corona measures, all museums, zoos and theme parks must be closed for the next two weeks. The new measures will take effect on Wednesday at 10 p.m. and will apply until November 18.
The park in Kaatsheuvel calls the second closure a huge setback for Efteling and all members of the Club van Elf interest group. “We have worked so hard together to offer the guest a day out in a safe way and to safeguard the continuity of the Efteling,” said the amusement park in a statement. Nevertheless, Efteling understands the decision. “And of course we take our responsibility. Only together can we get the corona virus under control and in this way we, as Efteling, contribute to that. ”
So on Wednesday people can visit the park for the last time, before Efteling temporarily closes its doors. “We see that it is busier. The weather is also nice, which also does a lot, ”said the spokesperson. Subscribers in particular seem to be visiting Efteling just as quickly: “They often live closer, so it is easier for them to say: I will go for a while.”
