From who became a feminist activist to who worked with President Obama: what happened to the cast of the popular medical drama

of Arianna Ascione

Originally aired from 2004 to 2012 the TV series «Dr. House – Medical Division “(which can be seen on La5 from Monday to Friday at 14.10) has completely revolutionized the medical drama genre: critically acclaimed (and much loved by the public), it was conceived by David Shore and Paul Attanasio, and was distributed in 66 countries and has received multiple awards including a Peabody Award, two Golden Globes and three Emmy Awards. It all revolves around the grumpy and grumpy Dr. Gregory House, a doctor at the fictional Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital – in New Jersey – who uses unconventional methods to save his patients: in each episode he carries out real investigations in full Sherlock style Holmes analyzing the symptoms as if they were clues to a mystery. Hugh Laurie was recruited to play the protagonist: a former member of the comedy duo Fry and Laurie (formed with Stephen Fry) thanks to Dr. House, the British actor has achieved great popularity. He then continued to divide his time between TV and cinema: recently he worked in the 2019 film “The Extraordinary Life of David Copperfield” by Armando Iannucci (he lent his face to Mr. Dick) while this year he appeared in the series “Avenue 5 (It was Ryan Clark) and in the TV movie “Roadkill” (Peter Laurence).
