Manchester –
Manchester United criticized by Roy Keane because the squad doesn’t have a leader figure. The MU captain rejected Keane’s opinion. Harry Maguire.
Keane criticized after MU defeated Arsenal 0-1 in the Premier League last weekend. He said MU was worried and played without fighting spirit.
Keane also highlighted the attitude of the MU players on the field. The former captain of the Red Devils thinks that MU does not have a leader figure.
Maguire dismissed Keane’s assumption. The defender who is now serving as the MU captain said the MU squad had enough leaders to get up.
“I haven’t seen his comments because especially after a negative result, we didn’t bring anything negative into it,” Maguire said ESPN.
“We remain positive and I can say for sure that there are many leaders in this squad.”
“I am the captain and I have many leaders around me – staff and players. Of course there are many leaders in this squad,” Maguire said.
The defeat of Arsenal made MU slumped to 15th place Premier League standings with seven points from six games. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team has just recorded two wins, one draw and three defeats.
In the Champions League, Manchester United actually get better results. Marcus Rashford et al topped the Group H standings after winning over Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig. The next MU will travel to Istanbul Basaksehir headquarters, Thursday (5/11/2020) in the morning WIB.
