Shanice van de Sanden would very much like to have her own hairdresser. The football star wants to open a business as soon as her sports career is over, she tells in conversation LINDA.girls.
“I dreamed of having my own barber shop and I still do,” said the 28-year-old attacker. “As soon as I stop playing football, not for the time being, but certainly one day, I will open my own business and start a clothing line.”
Van de Sanden “has a thing for hairstyles”. “Before the World Cup I had my short head painted in a leopard pattern, before the Champions League match with Lyon against Bayern Munich, I had the Nike logo shaved in it.”
Contrary to her ambitions to become a hairdresser, her interest in football did not follow until later. “I was never the girl who could not sit still, and wanted to know everything about football, I never played a game with the boys on the street. I was twelve when I started and only got well after I noticed how fun playing football together used to be.”
The 28-year-old attacker has played eighty international matches for the Orange Women so far, with which she became European champion in 2017 and took silver at the World Cup two years later. Van de Sanden played for the European top clubs Liverpool, Olympique Lyon and now defends the colors of VfL Wolfsburg. She won the Champions League three times with the French club.
