Today, Tuesday, the South Sinai Health Directorate announced that basic care units and centers in all cities of the governorate have received 1,423 pregnant women for early detection of diseases transmitted from mother to fetus since the launch of the initiative on Monday, 20 July 2020, until today.
In a statement, the directorate stated that the examination was signed, all the necessary medical examinations were carried out, and periodic follow-up was carried out for early detection of diseases transmitted from mother to fetus, with free treatment and health care provided.
This comes in accordance with the Presidential Initiative for Maternal and Fetal Health Care, which began its work in the governorate as of Monday, 20 July 2020, in order to follow up on the “health of pregnant women” for early detection of diseases transmitted from mother to fetus and to provide free treatment and health care.
For his part, Dr. Ayman Rakha, Undersecretary of the Ministry affirmed the continuation of the work of the National Initiative for Maternal and Fetal Health in all cities of the governorate, indicating that medical teams have been trained to participate in the work of this initiative that provides services related to mother and child health and spread awareness of health problems facing pregnant mothers during the period And after pregnancy, through thirteen units and medical centers in all cities of the province.
The initiative aims to detect HIV, B virus and syphilis, early detection of diseases that are transmitted from mother to fetus, provide all analyzes and integrated tests, in addition to measuring pressure, sugar, weight and height, and providing care and full follow-up for pregnant women before, during and after childbirth.
The services of this initiative are provided in the health units in Abu Suwayra and Ras Masala, the urban center in Ras Sidr, the medical center in Abu Znima, the health unit in Araisheyeh in Bourdis, the mother and child care center, the Toshka medical center, the health units in Jubail and the valley in Tor Sinai, the health unit in Tarfa, Catherine, the Rouissat medical center in Sharm el-Sheikh, and the health unit Balaslah in Dahab, and the urban center in Nuweiba.
