The American actor Eddie Hassell died in Texas at the age of thirty. Hassell was shot in the stomach several times in front of his girlfriend’s apartment and died in hospital from his injuries.
Exactly what happened is not yet entirely clear, although the Texas Grand Prairie Police Department has reported that a car was stolen at the place where Hassell was shot. Unfortunately there are no witnesses and Hassell’s girlfriend was also unable to see the perpetrator. The police have therefore made an appeal, hoping to get tips on how to find out the identity of the culprit.

Hassell is best known for Lisa Cholodenko’s The Kids Are Alright, wherever Julianne Moore, Annette Bening in Mark Ruffalo can be viewed. In addition to this film, he was also featured in Jobs and various TV series such as Surface, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Bones and Devious Maids. Outside of acting, Hassell was also a professional surfer and skateboarder.
