Leeds –
Leicester City still maintaining his slick start at the start of this season after slaughtering Leeds United 4-1. Jamie Vardy is behind the great performance of The Foxes.
The Leeds vs Leicester duel was held at Elland Road, Tuesday (3/11/2020) in the morning WIB. Leeds are more favored because they previously had an unbeaten Aston Villa.
However, Leicester should not be underestimated because last week they also won a 1-0 win at Arsenal. That means, Leicester have always won their last three games in all competitions, two of them in the Europa League.
That capital was used by Leicester to bombard Villa’s defense. After just two minutes, Harvey Barnes broke into the Leeds net following Jamie Vardy’s pass, Leicester’s second-fastest goal in the Pemier League after Shinjo Okazaki’s 52-second goal in August 2017.
Youri Tielemans increased the score to 2-0 in the 21st minute when the ball threw up his kick Vardy. Leeds had a chance to cut back through Stuart Dallas in the 48th minute, after the ball shot rushing into Leicester’s net.
However, the visitors increased the lead through Vardy’s goal in the 76th minute and a Tielemans penalty in the 90th minute. Leicester won 4-1 and entitled to move up to second place in the standings with 15 points, one point difference from Liverpool as the top.
For Leicester, this is their best start in the Premier League after seven games, equaling the 2000/2001 season. Amazingly Leicester have even wiped out their four away matches this season, while at home they have lost twice.
Vardy increasingly sharp shows because he was involved in the presence of 13 goals from the last 12 matches with Leicester, 11 goals and two assists. Vardy is also the seventh player to score in nine consecutive away games, the first since Harry Kane in September 2017.
With this slick start, can you Leicester City keep the competition at the top? We’ll just wait.
