Shadow of Mordor is losing online features

Warner Brothers Interactive will discontinue the online features for Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Starting December 31st, players will no longer be able to use the nemesis forge, vendetta missions, leaderboards and WBPlay Connections.

Removing some features doesn’t really matter, but with the disappearance of the Nemesis Forge, the ability to remove your nemeses will disappear. Shadow of Mordor transfer to the sequel Shadow of War. By removing the vendetta missions, the achievement “repaid in blood” will soon not be available, where you have to kill an orc that a friend on your steam list had butchered. So if you still want to get that achievement, you have until December 31st.

WBPlay is also being scrapped from the game, but the epic runes “gravewalker” and “orc hunter” that came with the feature will be automatically given to all players.

Shadow of Mordor came out in 2014.
