A manipulated video in which it appears that US presidential candidate Joe Biden forgets what state he is in has been viewed over a million times on Twitter. That writes the news agency Associated Press Monday.
In the video, Biden walks onto a stage in Florida, calling out to the audience, “Hello, Minnesota!” However, the video turns out not to be shot in Florida, but in Minnesota. The original text in the photo behind the stage has been replaced by the place name ‘Tampa, Florida’ by the creator of the manipulated video.
The video was circulating from Sunday and after a day was identified by Twitter as manipulated media.
It is not the first manipulated video of Joe Biden to circulate in the run-up to the US election. For example, a video in which Biden is interviewed by journalist George Lopez was cut to make it seem as if the presidential candidate thought he was up against George Bush, instead of Donald Trump.
In the camp of Trump supporters, some have questioned Biden’s mental health because of his advanced age. Trump campaigners are also trying to feed these rumors on a regular basis.
