Gundars Āboliņš: I don’t like banging my fists

Actor Gundars Āboliņš has expressed his opinion on the social site Facebook about the type of greeting with fists and elbows popularized due to the new coronavirus.

The actor points out that there are many better alternatives than “beating his fists” or “beating his elbows”.

“I don’t like beating my fists or digging with my elbows! I suggest remembering my childhood and ladies, greeting, sniffing, but gentlemen – pulling a leg! In doing so, keep a distance of 2 meters!

Meanwhile, people in the comments on the record agree with the actor. “I agree! I don’t like it either. It’s nice for a woman to feel like a woman. And for men as gentlemen, not for elders or comrades. I won’t fist.

It has already been reported that in the spring, when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, people were encouraged not to shake hands, but to be greeted with fists instead. It was demonstrated after the press conference also Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš and Minister of Health Ilze Ņķķele.

Meanwhile, the show “Without Taboos” reported that world – famous Belgian virologist and microbiologist Peter Pio, who himself contracted the Covid – 19 infection in March, has already said that humanity may soon enter a pandemic era. So the days of handshakes are coming to an end.
