Gerry announced that he tested positive for Covid just a few days ago. At the moment he is at home, under medical supervision. They have been the recordings of Free Fall suspended, the early evening that leads to Canale5. “I wanted to be the one to tell you: I contracted COVID-19. I’m at home, under medical supervision. Thank you all for your affection and interest”, Wrote the presenter in the message posted on Instagram in which he announced that he had tested positive for the coronavirus. At the moment, he would be in solitary confinement in Milan.

The recordings of the program have been temporarily suspended to allow Scotti to recover in the necessary time. To the Corriere della Sera who reached it, the conductor confessed:
I was very strict. In the family we are on the verge of paranoid. I don’t see friends and I don’t even see my son. I took the swab because on Monday I had to go to Rome by train to record ‘Tu si que vales’ and of course we have to be checked, so on Saturday morning I swab and I tested positive.
