The uncertainty around P.T. and its future on PS5 is prevailing, and – as often happens in the gaming world – to solve it is DOOM, the classic first-person shooter by id Software.
Modder Andrea Gori has in fact created a version entitled GZ P.T. of Hideo Kojima’s horror demo, capable of running on PC using the shooter engine.
This version needs GZDOOM to work but very faithfully replicates the title from which the next chapter of Silent Hill… had it not been canceled by Konami following the breakup with Kojima Productions.
The founding elements of P.T. they are all there: baby cries, radio chatter and, of course, Lisa chasing us all over the house. Some puzzles have only been revised to be compatible with a more conventional control system.
This is a video demonstration of GZ PT:
But what awaits PT, and what is Silent Hill?
As for P.T., there have been assumptions that the demo of Silent Hills it would also work on the next-gen console and Konami’s denials which, in reality, don’t deny anything.
The publisher’s statements in fact, they refer to the possibility of downloading and re-downloading the content from the PlayStation Store, not to its transfer via LAN cable or wi-fi from PS4.
its Silent Hill, on the other hand, the situation is even more uncertain and complicated, if possible, given that there are rumors and also in this case an official intervention by the owner of the IP that does not really clarify much.
There have been rumors for months of a reboot in the pipeline at the original Team Silent under the aegis of Sony, which would make it a PS5 exclusive.
Konami, for its part, has explained to stay evaluating different avenues for the return of the survival horror series.
