Visitors in New York must be without Covid-19

In response to the increase in coronavirus cases nationwide, Governor Cuomo announces a new health measure that applies to people arriving in New York State.

Cuomo decreed that those who come to the state have to show a negative test of maximum three days old to enter.

They will then have to quarantine for an additional three days and be retested on the fourth day of stay.

The governor ensures that people from more than 40 states in the country will have to submit to the new regulations.

The tri-state area is not covered in the new measure due to frequent travel between New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

He also said that those who choose not to take the test will have to quarantine for 14 days.

Additionally, New York residents who have been out of state for less than 24 hours do not need to be tested before returning, but must be tested on the fourth day after returning.
