Having fallen behind, the Nerazzurri forced a 2-2 draw

Inter Milan got a 2-2 draw at entertaining Parma of Italian League. Coming from behind, Inter survived the defeat thanks to Ivan Perisic’s goal in injury time.

In the sixth week of the Italian League match at the Giuseppe Meazza, Sunday (1/11/2020) early morning WIB, Inter were two goals behind. Gervinho scored twice to give Parma a 2-0 lead.

Marcelo Brozovic then narrowed the gap for Inter with a goal in the 64th minute. In injury time, Ivan Perisic score to force a draw.

With this result, Inter are still stuck in fifth place in the Italian League standings with 11 points from six matches. While Parma is in 15th place with five points.

The course of the match

Entertaining Parma, Inter lost a number of players, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Stefano Sensi, Matias Vecino and Milan Skriniar could not appear to strengthen Inter.

Inter then lowered Ivan Perisic on the front lines. Perisic had a chance to put Inter ahead quickly in the second minute, but his shot flew over the crossbar.

In the 10th minute, it was Parma’s turn to threaten Inter’s goal. Cornelius fired a shot at goal after taking advantage of Gervinho’s movement. Cornelius’ kick was pushed over by Samir Handanovic.

Inter came close to opening up the lead in the 26th minute. Barella sent a through ball to Christian Eriksen who then thrust the ball into Lautaro Martinez. However, Lautaro’s shot from close range could still be thwarted by Luigi Sepe.

No goals were scored in the first half. Ahead of halftime, Inter had an opportunity through Achraf Hakimi’s header which continued Aleksandar Kolarov’s cross. But the ball bounced over the goal.

Only one minute after the second half began, Parma opened the scoring. Hernani released a gastric bait and Gervinho who escaped the offside trap then finished with a volley.

Inter had hit Parma’s goal through Andrea Ranocchia’s shot following a corner kick. However, the referee disallowed the goal because Ranocchia was in an offside position first.

Inter struggled to create chances. They then conceded again in the 62nd minute. Gervinho again listed his name on the scoreboard after completing a breakthrough bait from Inglese.

Inter pulled back two minutes later. Marcelo Brozovic’s shot from the edge of the penalty box hit Balogh and outwit Sepe.

Opportunity for Ranocchia! The Inter defender had a chance to equalize in the 72nd minute. Starting from Brozovic’s corner kick, Ranocchia gore the ball. However, Sepe reacted well and made a save.

Inter keep trying to score his second goal. However, Hakimi and Arturo Vidal’s chances did not result in goals.

Goal! Inter changed the score to 2-2 in the 90th minute + 2. Kolarov fired a free kick into the area and Perisic followed with a header. Sepe who died from stepping could not anticipate the ball.

Vidal almost led Inter to win at the end of the match. However, Vidal’s header which continued Perisic’s cross was wide of the net.
