Alexandria – Mohamed Amer:

Today, Saturday, the Dekheila Economic Misdemeanor Court in Alexandria ruled that festivals singer “Hamo Beka” be sentenced to two years imprisonment with work and a bail of 5,000 pounds.

The court also decided to fine him 200,000 pounds, after he was accused of insulting and defaming the artist, Hani Shaker, the captain of the musical professions, and a number of employees working in the union.

Yasser Kantoush, the lawyer for the musical professions, had submitted a complaint to the Dekheila Prosecution Office on October 23, bearing No. 13350 for the year 2019, the Dakhila administration, in which the aforementioned was accused of storming a public establishment, the Musicians Syndicate, inciting violence and rioting, and insulting and slandering the artist Hani Shaker.

The prosecution listened to the statements of the so-called Muhammad Mahmoud Mustafa Sayed Ahmed, whose fame is “Hamo Beka”, who accompanied his lawyer to the Dekheila Prosecution headquarters, west of Alexandria.

The beginning of the incident dates back to when the festivals singer, Hamo Beka, published a video clip on his Facebook account, from inside the union headquarters, in which he attacked the artist Hani Shaker and the members of the union, after the union refused to allow him to sing at a party in Damietta, and inform the security authorities to stop the concert.
