Wissing: Towered on a test drive

A 36-year-old from the municipality of Parsberg offered his motorcross machine for sale on an internet platform. An 18-year-old well-known young man reported to the ad with false personal details and showed interest in buying. A short test drive on dirt roads was agreed as the motorcycle had no registration and insurance. However, when the young man drove out of sight on public road and accelerated audibly, the seller chased him in his car. The 18-year-old finally died of the machine at the edge of a forest and the owner was able to hold the young man and hand it over to the notified police. The young man did not have the money to buy it. In addition, he does not have a driver’s license. He is now facing proceedings for attempted theft, driving without a license, registration and insurance. The young man’s true identity was quickly clarified, as he is a regular at the Parsberg police station due to previous offenses.
